Mitchell Abrahall is the latest addition to the Polar Racing Cars line-up, with his new RW06 hitting the track in 2006. Winner of the 2005 NSW 1200 Formula Vee State Championship, this is one little driver to keep an eye on!
How did you get involved in motor racing and Formula Vee?
I got involved in motoracing by my Dad because he raced go karts when i
was young, and when i turned seven dad asked me if i wanted to start racing
go karts and i havent stopped racing since!
I was drawn to motoracing the day i was born,it has been a major part of
my life and i love it so much.I started racing formula vee because it was
the best class to meet my very slim budget.
Who is your hero within motorsport, and then away from the track? My hero within motoracing is Craig Lowndes because you can tell he really
appreciates what he is doing because a bizillion other people would love to
do what he is doing, and he always has a smile on his face no matter what the
result is and i think thats a good influence on young guys who are racing
cars,it shows you hows you should act at the race track. And my hero out of
motoracing is my father Steve because he always seems to know what to say
whenever i need help with anything,i just hope when i get to that age that
im just as a nice, genuine and caring father to my children.
What was the most challenging thing you found when learning to drive? The most challenging skill when i first started driving was trying to reverse park, but i eventually got the hang of it! |
